In a webinar on Thursday, April 23, Dr. Eric Beck, chief operating officer of University Hospitals, will discuss the systemwide Unified Crisis Command Center that was rapidly established, activated and operationalized to deal with COVID-19. The discussion, “Leveraging Hospital Innovation to Help Diagnose, Care for and Monitor COVID-19 Patients,” is part of a COVID-19 webinar series that Plug and Play launched, featuring partners and startups that are responding to the disease. Beck and David Sylvan, president of UH Ventures, will address how UH’s innovation department is supporting the health system as it deals with the pandemic. The webinar will also feature five global startups that are addressing COVID-19 using digital diagnostics, artificial intelligence for health care and more. The webinar is scheduled for 1:30-3 p.m. EDT Thursday, April 23.
