Crain’s Cleveland: UH joins national network to transform care for Medicaid patients
University Hospitals has joined a team of health systems across the country participating in the Medicaid Transformation Project (MTP), a national effort to transform health care and related social needs for Americans relying on Medicaid for health care.
The effort is led by Chicago-based AVIA, network of health systems working together to innovate and transform, and Andy Slavitt, former acting administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. MTP, which includes 27 health systems from 25 states, “strives to enable better health and outcomes for vulnerable populations, while also reducing costs,” according to a news release.
