Matthew Zenker

Matt Zenker serves as Director of Deal Flow and Investment at University Hospitals Ventures. In this role, he leads innovation and investment initiatives at University Hospitals and directs efforts to identify, evaluate, and pilot early stage technologies. Matt also chairs the UH AI Council, where he guides the system’s approach to artificial intelligence, helping shape AI’s integration into clinical and operational workflows. Matt oversees investment diligence for UH Ventures and plays a key role in the investment pipeline and operations of the UH Haslam Sports Innovation Center. He also helps to manage programming efforts like UH and NEOMED’s Healthcare Transformation IDEATOR and SportsLand™. With nearly 15 years of experience in healthcare innovation, Matthew brings deep expertise in commercialization, startups, and ecosystem development. Matthew holds a BA in English from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management.
